Managing Medical Director Position

A premier Pathology Group in Tyler, TX is actively seeking an Anatomic/Clinical Board Certified, Fellowship trained Hematopathologist to join and lead their team. The group is committed to providing outstanding service in all aspects of community-based clinical and anatomic pathology; therefore, flexibility and strong training is a must. Candidates must be permanent US residents, have excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with clinicians, administrators, and laboratory staff. The successful candidate should be a strong team player and can work independently. 

This full-time position is with a group of pathologists, providing Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and services to hospitals, surgery centers, physician groups and outpatient facilities in East Texas. In addition to the seven current pathologists the practice employs two Physician Assistant’s.

This group covers service from a local hospital affiliated with a larger system in Texas.

 

With a case mix including:

• Surgical Cases – 1952 per month
• Bone Marrow Cases – 26 per month
• Peripheral Smears – 70 per month
• Frozen Sections – 65 per month
• 7 autopsies annually

 

Education/Certification Requirements:

Must be Board Certified/eligible in AP/CP and have completed or in the process of completing a subspecialty fellowship in Hematopathology (preferred).
